We have a Port-A-Potty!!!

Wow!! Is that a phrase I never thought I would say with such excitement. A LOT of progress was made during the week I was away on the house. Damon kept telling me on the phone that it was raining in Gainesville and nothing much was happening...what a little liar!

When I drove up in yard I didn't see much change except for the massive Port-A-Potty right by the front gate. It actually made me smile as funny as that may be. I guess the good Lord may be putting us through all of this to make me appreciate the small stuff. I didn't see permits on the permit post, but a Port-A-Potty had to mean progress, right!?!

Damon admitted he had been fibbing to me all week. We got permits approved on Monday! Yipee!! There has been a lot of other activity, too. The workers dug the footers and placed the rebar, the electricians moved the A/C unit, the inspectors approved the progress, the footers were poured and a load of blocks were delivered for the stem wall which should be built tomorrow. Whew!! It appears we are officially in the construction phase. I'm sure it will grow old way too quickly, but I'm excited nonetheless! Rylee of course is loving playing in all the dirt....the very BLACK dirt! I see many baths in the next week or so!

It seemed we may never get here...and it still seems that completion is very far away, but we are at least moving in a forward direction!! It is a happy, happy day...tomorrow may bring turmoil, but I'm going to enjoy the moment while it lasts! I'll post new photos of all the progress soon!
