In case you can't clearly read an ultrasound (or didn't notice my updated gender specific blog page....IT'S A BOY!! Oh my!! As I got up on the table for the ultrasound, I was a barrel of nerves. I was so focused on finding out the sex of the baby when I was pregnant with Rylee and this time I've just been nervous about having a healthy baby!! It was requested that we not bring kids to the appointment, so Rylee stayed with Nanny and Papa...it was just Mommy and Daddy. As the sonographer began the scan, I kept thinking that I saw a 'little something', but wasn't sure. Before long the sonographer announced the news that it was a boy. I saw Damon silently gesture excitement, but all he said was "I'm just glad the baby is healthy." Over and over he kept repeating the same thing. I had to take a brief potty break during the scan and during the 'intermission', Damon wasted no time posting a comment on Facebook that we are expecting a boy. By the time I got back from the break, Damon had lost his composure and was obviously gitty with excitement that we are expecting a boy. I must admit that I was really excited too! I felt very blessed to have a daughter and now to be expecting a son will make us the perfect little family. I admit that I was apprehensive about having another little girl because I wasn't sure I wanted to share my 'Mommy/Daughter" time with another little girl. I know your heart makes room, but I'm especially excited to be creating a whole new place in my heart for my little man. I am also excited to get to experience the "Father/Son" thing with Damon. He is such a great Dad!! I feel so amazingly blessed right now to have a wonderful husband, amazing daughter, and healthy baby boy on the way!
Sorry for the delay in posting. It has been a week, and I am getting grumblings from the family to see some pictures. While we were waiting to see the doctor after the ultrasound, our builder called Damon and said that he had torn down the cable line...which is also our phone and internet. We were bubbling with excitement and couldn't even post anything about the news because we had no internet access! It was absolute torture!! By the time the repair man came, Rylee and I had to leave for vacation where we also had internet problems. So my sincerest appologies to all who are anxiously waiting...
